NOTA ILLUSTRATIVA

Il G.L.I.C.-Gruppo Librerie Internazionali Commissionarie, è stato costituito nel 1985 ed opera, con un proprio regolamento, nell'ambito dell'ALI-Associazione Librai Italiani Confcommercio attenendosi allo Statuto di quest'ultima; ad esso aderiscono aziende specializzate nell'importazione ed esportazione di libri e riviste italiane e straniere che svolgano attività come commissionarie da almeno dieci anni.
La sede del Gruppo si trova presso gli uffici dell'ALI Nazionale in via Nizza 22 a Roma (tel.0039 06 85301970 fax 0039 06 85301975 e-mail: aliass@tin.it, internet: www.aliass.org).
Il GLIC svolge funzioni di raccordo fra i membri del Gruppo medesimo, si occupa di potenziare le attività e la collaborazione fra le aziende del settore, opera in ambito nazionale per creare servizi e convenzioni a favore dei propri associati, eroga servizi di consulenza legale, commerciale e finanziaria per gli aderenti, tutela gli interessi delle aziende operanti nell'ambito dell'importazione e dell'esportazione di pubblicazioni da e per l'estero; inoltre il Gruppo eroga ai propri Associati i servizi e le convenzioni dell'ALI-Associazione Librai Italiani.
Presidente del Gruppo attualmente è Piero Carlucci di Ellediemme, via Baccina 30 00184 Roma (0039 06 6797475 fax 0039 06 6789567 e-mail: info@ellediemme.it, internet www.ellediemme.it) ); altri organi sono l'Assemblea dei Soci, che si riunisce in seduta ordinaria almeno una volta all'anno, e la Giunta composta da sei membri. La durata delle cariche è quadriennale e il prossimo
rinnovo delle cariche avverrà nel 2008.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
G.L.I.C. - Gruppo Librerie Internazionali Commissionarie (International Import-Export Booksellers Group) was set up in 1985, have their own Regulation and operate within ALI-Confcommercio (the Italian Booksellers Association) with respect to ALI's Statute.
Many Italian import-export companies of Italian and foreign books and magazines are members of G.L.I.C.; one of the most important features in order to be accepted in the Group is the fact that the companies must have been working in this field at least for ten years.

G.L.I.C. operate so as to develop any sort of cooperation among its members, support their work, supply them with services of any kind (both G.L.I.C.'s own services and ALI's) and give legal advice, fiscal/tax advice, financial advice and so on.
Mr. Piero Carlucci (Ellediemme, via Baccina, 30, 00184 Rome, tel. 0039 06 6797475 fax 0039 06 6789567 e-mail: info@ellediemme.it, internet www.ellediemme.it) is President of G.L.I.C.; the Member's Assembly (formed by all the members who meet at least twice a year) and the Board (formed by five members plus the President who meet more frequently to discuss any problem arising) are the two main structures within G.L.I.C. for making decisions.
The President and the Members of the Board are in office for four years; after that time an election is held so as to appoint a new President and new Members of the Board. The next election will take place in the year 2008.
