Instagram has more than 300 million daily users, so whether you’re a small or large business, or just an individual, trying to expand your social media reach should include delving into Instagram. Social media posts with images gain more attention than those including only text, so this is where Instagram can shine.
Social media automation is a growing option. This doesn’t mean you must pay big money to some faceless entity who will do nothing more than spam your Instagram page. No, there are simple ways of automation that you can do yourself using your own unique posts.
This automation is intended to gain you new, and more importantly, real followers (as opposed to “buying” a list of followers who may or may not be real people). Some automation even allows you to like or comment on posts, depending on what you want to do with them.
For a price of $10 a month, you can get Instagrees automation. You can choose certain hashtags to look for and set parameters for generic comments that can work for most pictures (i.e. Nice one, Cool, Sweet!).
This might sound like a good idea, but remember, you’re setting up an automation, so you won’t have much control over which images your bot uses which comment. So, you might set yourself up for some awkwardness.
But, their ‘follow’ option might bring you more followers. You might end up getting around 70 new followers in 24 hours (but this is just an example). Just remember, this is a bot working for you, and it might follow a large number of people while attempting to collect new followers.
This automation service is a bit pricey at $10 for 3 days. This bot lets you choose how many people you want to follow per minute, again using hashtags as a basis. The Instamacro bot will probably follow an insane amount of people, but they might not necessarily be people who will also engage with your photos, and engagement is what it’s all about.
This is an interesting social media automation because it allows you to hook into more than just Instagram. You can also automate Facebook posts (both to personal timelines and to pages) and Twitter tweets, plus you can integrate WordPress and other social media markets, too.
The basic app is free, but you can add more features if you pay their monthly fee. They also have a mobile app, so it’s easy for you to navigate even if you’re away from a computer.
With Hootsuite, you can schedule pre-written posts to be sent at a certain date and time. This enables you to schedule posts for different time zones or at times when you get the most engagement from your followers.
Unfortunately, Hootsuite doesn’t let you automatically follow people, but it’s an excellent way to make sure your posts appear at a time when you’re more likely to get engagement, and that’s what you want. It doesn’t matter if you have a million followers if no one ever interacts with your images.
For $20 a month, you’ll get to add up to 10 social media networks and have unlimited RSS integrations. You’ll also have access to real-time analytics so you can make your scheduled posts reach even more followers.
Social media automation is taking the world by storm. But, just remember that even though an automatic method such as this can help you to build your following on Instagram or any social media network, what really counts is the interaction. You’ll want people to keep coming back and that means it will take a little effort on your part.
Post something at least every day. Research hashtags relating to your product or services and use them. Ask users to tag a friend (this increases engagement). Have photo contests (i.e. like my photo? Show me yours.) Work to increase the quality of your followers rather than the quantity. This will earn you more long-term benefits from your Instagram account. And, the same goes for all your social media networks. They’re social; be sociable!
